Russian Forces Strike Mykolaiv, Targeting Infrastructure

In the early hours of June 14, Russian military forces launched an attack on Mykolaiv, as confirmed by Vitaliy Kim, the head of the regional military administration.

The assault involved the use of Shahed drones, targeting both transportation and energy infrastructure. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties at this time, according to local officials.

Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure have become increasingly common, utilizing various types of weaponry, including drones, missiles, and multiple launch rocket systems.

Ukrainian authorities and international organizations have categorized these strikes as war crimes, emphasizing their deliberate nature. They argue that the bombardment of essential services and healthcare facilities aims to deprive civilians of electricity, heating, water supply, communication, and medical assistance, indicating genocidal actions.

In contrast, Russian leadership denies that its military conducts targeted strikes against civilian infrastructure, asserting that they do not intentionally harm non-combatants or destroy hospitals, schools, and other critical facilities.

On June 14, Mykolaiv faced an attack from Russian forces targeting vital infrastructure, though no casualties were reported. Ukrainian officials classify these strikes as war crimes, highlighting their impact on civilian life.
