On the morning of June 8, Russian drones targeted Odesa, striking a public transport stop where civilians were present. The incident has been confirmed by Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, via Telegram.
Initial reports indicated two individuals were injured, but this number later rose to three. Among the injured are two women aged 64 and 65, along with a 55-year-old minibus driver. All three sustained shrapnel wounds and have been hospitalized, receiving necessary medical care.
The attack also caused damage to a minibus, the bus stop structure, and the dispatch point.
In addition to the strike in Odesa, Russian forces launched an attack on southern Odesa region, damaging equipment at an energy facility, as reported by Oleg Kiper, head of the regional administration. This has resulted in power outages affecting over 2,000 consumers.
In Chornomorsk, a drone reportedly struck a residential building, although no injuries were reported in that incident, Kiper noted.
Emergency services are currently on-site to address the aftermath of the attacks and to assess the extent of the damage.
