The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has announced the initiation of a new program called “logistical lockdown,” aimed at enhancing middle strike capabilities and systematically targeting Russian logistics deep behind the front lines. Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov made this statement during a recent briefing.
This program emphasizes increasing pressure on the logistical capabilities of the Russian military while reducing its capacity for active offensive operations. According to the Ministry of Defense, there has been a notable rise in enemy losses and a significant improvement in the effectiveness of strikes against Russian logistical infrastructure.
A central component of this initiative is the scaling up of middle strike operations, which are designed to systematically destroy ammunition depots, military equipment, and supply routes at operational depth. The Ministry highlighted that the increase in the intensity of these strikes correlates with a decrease in the aggressiveness of Russian assaults along the frontline.
As part of the first phase of the program, the Ministry, in collaboration with the General Staff, has allocated 5 billion UAH for the procurement of modern middle strike capabilities. These funds are being directed to combat units through the eBali system, which enables the most effective brigades to independently procure the necessary equipment.
The second phase will involve centralized tenders for large-scale purchases. The Ministry emphasizes that open competitions will ensure the speed of supply, foster competition among manufacturers, and minimize corruption risks.
Defense officials anticipate that the initial results of this program will become evident by summer, significantly increasing pressure on Russian logistics far from the frontline.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has launched a program to enhance its middle strike capabilities, targeting Russian logistics to weaken their military effectiveness. This initiative includes significant funding for modern equipment and aims to yield visible results by summer.
