Ukraine’s President Warns of New Russian Mobilization Efforts

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has indicated that Russia is preparing for a new wave of mobilization, potentially involving tens of thousands of individuals, to address military losses incurred in the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.

This statement followed a meeting focused on the current situation at the front and Ukraine’s defense strategies. Zelensky noted that Ukrainian intelligence has been receiving increasing information regarding Russia’s plans for additional mobilization measures. These developments suggest a significant intent by the Kremlin to bolster its occupying forces by at least tens of thousands of troops.

The president emphasized that these actions by Russia are a response to substantial military losses on the battlefield and do not reflect any readiness on Moscow’s part to engage in genuine diplomatic negotiations.

Zelensky stated that Ukraine will share the gathered intelligence with its international partners and will continue efforts at all levels to enhance its defense capabilities and apply pressure on Russia to bring an end to the war.

“We consider these Russian actions as confirmation that Moscow is not preparing for true diplomacy, and we will relay the information we have to our partners. Russia must end its war, and the world has the means to influence this situation,” the president added.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reported that Russia is planning a significant mobilization to replenish its military forces, indicating a lack of willingness for diplomatic resolutions. This development highlights the ongoing tensions and military challenges faced in the conflict.
