Ukrainian Forces Achieve Breakthrough in Kharkiv Region

Members of the 23rd Assault Regiment “R.U.H.” successfully executed an operation in the Kharkiv region, breaching the defensive line of occupying forces. During the engagement, Ukrainian troops advanced deep into enemy territory, reaching a battalion stronghold.

The operation took place from April to May 2026, with assault groups from the “R.U.H.” regiment managing to cross the frontline at one of the most challenging sectors of the front.

The primary objective was to dislodge the enemy from fortified positions and expand control over the area. As a result of their coordinated efforts, the Ukrainian forces completely cleared the territory up to the enemy’s battalion stronghold.

The regiment emphasized that the success of the operation was due to the effective teamwork of all units involved.

“The 23rd Assault Regiment ‘R.U.H.’ continues to carry out combat missions in the most difficult sections of the front, showcasing the effectiveness of their assault tactics and the coordinated efforts of their units,” military officials stated.

In the battles for Vovchansk, participation extends beyond Ukrainian soldiers to include foreign volunteers who have joined the National Guard of Ukraine.

“We witness the incredible resilience of both Ukrainian and foreign volunteers in the fight for Ukraine,” the regiment noted.

The 23rd Assault Regiment 'R.U.H.' has successfully breached enemy defenses in the Kharkiv region, demonstrating effective teamwork and resilience among both Ukrainian and foreign volunteers. This operation marks a significant advance in a challenging sector of the front.
