Xiaomi Launches Redmi Watch 6 for International Markets

Xiaomi has officially commenced international sales of its latest smartwatch, the Redmi Watch 6, which initially debuted in China. The device is now available across various European countries.

The Redmi Watch 6 features a significant upgrade over its predecessor, the fifth generation, particularly in display quality and materials used in its construction.

Display: It boasts a 2.07-inch AMOLED screen with a peak brightness of 2000 nits, ensuring clear visibility even in direct sunlight.

Battery Life: The smartwatch is equipped with a 550 mAh battery, offering up to 24 days of usage in standard mode, and up to 12 days with intensive use.

Materials: The casing is made from aluminum alloy, and the device is operated via an updated steel crown and an auxiliary button.

The Redmi Watch 6 supports over 150 sports modes and includes a positioning system featuring L1 GNSS (GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS), allowing for accurate route tracking without needing a smartphone.

Functionality and Software: The device runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS, facilitating quick synchronization with both Android and iOS smartphones. In addition to standard heart rate and blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring, it offers advanced sleep and stress analysis.

The smartwatch is rated with a 5 ATM water resistance, making it suitable for swimming in pools or open water.

NFC and Payment: The NFC version of the Redmi Watch 6 supports contactless payments through Mastercard and Visa systems. This model has officially launched in Poland.

It is important to note that the standard version of the smartwatch, which lacks NFC, is also available at a slightly lower price point.

In Ukraine, retailers have already begun taking pre-orders for the global version of the device, with the expected price for the base model around 4,999 UAH.

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Watch 6 internationally, featuring significant upgrades in display and functionality. The smartwatch is now available in Europe and supports various sports modes and payment options.
