On May 2, five children aged between 10 and 14 were injured after explosives from World War II detonated at a youth camp in northern Austria. The devices were hidden beneath a campfire where a group of young people had gathered.
According to reports from local authorities, another cache of wartime explosives was discovered under a separate campfire at the same site. However, police have not disclosed the specific era to which these explosives belong.
In response to the incident, law enforcement summoned a bomb disposal unit to safely neutralize the explosives. Authorities are currently investigating how these military devices ended up at the campsite.
