In a devastating overnight assault, Russian forces targeted the city of Dnipro, resulting in significant destruction to residential buildings and infrastructure. The attack, which involved 10 cruise missiles and over 80 drones, has left several casualties and extensive damage.
Local officials reported that at least 27 residential buildings, two kindergartens, and a medical clinic were impacted. Mayor Boris Filatov described the scene, noting that nearly 1,500 windows were shattered, roofs and elevator shafts were damaged, and entire floors of some buildings were destroyed.
Emergency services are currently treating up to ten individuals who sustained injuries, including lacerations, shrapnel wounds, fractures, and burns. Medical personnel are providing necessary care to those affected.
Tragically, three fatalities have been confirmed, and there are concerns for the safety of several residents who have not been heard from since the attack. “There are still those who have not made contact,” Filatov added, emphasizing the ongoing uncertainty regarding the situation.
This assault is part of a broader pattern of strikes that occurred overnight on April 25, affecting multiple regions in Ukraine, including Kharkiv, Sumy, Kyiv, and Zaporizhzhia.
The recent missile and drone strikes on Dnipro have resulted in significant casualties and damage, with local authorities confirming three deaths and extensive destruction of residential areas. Emergency services are actively responding to the crisis as concerns grow for the safety of unaccounted residents.
