During a recent press interaction, former U.S. President Donald Trump reacted strongly to Prince Harry’s suggestion that the United States should enhance its efforts to aid Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict. Trump asserted that he represents British interests more than the prince does.
A journalist posed the question to Trump, asking if he found it appropriate for Prince Harry to urge the U.S. to take more decisive action regarding the war in Ukraine, especially as King Charles prepares for a visit to Washington.
“Prince Harry does not speak for the United Kingdom, that’s for sure. I think I speak for the United Kingdom more than Prince Harry does. But I do appreciate his advice. Great advice,”
Trump responded, emphasizing his perspective on the matter. He also took a moment to inquire about the well-being of Prince Harry and his wife, suggesting that he would send them his regards.
Shifting focus, Trump discussed his upcoming meeting with King Charles, expressing enthusiasm for the royal visit. “King Charles is coming to see us; he’s my friend. We’re looking forward to it,” he stated.
Additionally, Trump highlighted the new ballroom at the White House where the dinner with the king will take place, noting that the United Kingdom has desired a new ballroom for 150 years and that this one will be the “best in the world.”
Donald Trump criticized Prince Harry's call for increased U.S. support for Ukraine, claiming to represent British interests more effectively. He also expressed excitement about his upcoming meeting with King Charles and highlighted a new ballroom at the White House.
