The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced that the implementation of an agreement with the European Union regarding a €90 billion support package for Ukraine is currently underway. He also mentioned a new sanctions package aimed at Russia.
Zelensky emphasized that this unblocking of funds serves as a positive signal given the current circumstances. He asserted that Russia must end its war, suggesting that the necessary motivations for this could only arise if there is sufficient support for Ukraine and increased pressure on Russia.
In his communication, Zelensky noted that Ukraine is fulfilling its obligations in its relations with the EU, even on complex issues such as the operation of the Druzhba oil pipeline. He expressed hope for reciprocal actions from the European side.
Additionally, the President indicated plans to engage in discussions with European leaders regarding the establishment of clusters to support Ukraine.
