Intense Combat Reported on the Ukrainian Frontlines

On April 2, the Ukrainian General Staff reported a significant escalation in combat activity, with a total of 213 engagements recorded since the beginning of the day.

The report indicates that Russian forces conducted 36 airstrikes, deploying 119 guided bombs. Additionally, they utilized 3,545 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,822 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions.

In the Northeastern and Kursk directions, three confrontations occurred. Meanwhile, in the Southern Slobozhansk direction, Russian troops launched five assaults on Ukrainian defenses.

Ukrainian forces successfully repelled seven assaults in the Kupiansk sector. In the Lyman direction, there were eight attempts by the enemy to advance.

In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian troops defended against four attacks from occupying forces. The Defense Forces also thwarted 15 Russian assaults in the Kostiantynivka area.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces executed 49 attacks, while in the Oleksandrivka sector, there were 21 attempts to improve their tactical position. The Huliaipole direction saw 37 assaults, and in the Orikhiv area, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions 13 times. Lastly, two storming actions were recorded in the Dnipro direction.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported 213 combat engagements on April 2, highlighting intensified military activity with numerous assaults and airstrikes by Russian forces across various fronts.
