The Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation has announced the launch of a voice artificial intelligence (AI) system designed to provide round-the-clock assistance to citizens via its hotline.
Previously, the AI operated solely through chat interfaces, successfully addressing over 90% of inquiries. With this new development, the system will now offer voice consultations, enhancing accessibility for users seeking support.
According to Deputy Minister Oleksandr Bornyakov, the initiative is being implemented in collaboration with ElevenLabs, a technology company specializing in AI solutions. Initial demonstrations of the voice services were showcased at a recent forum.
Bornyakov also outlined the broader strategy of the Ministry, emphasizing Ukraine’s ambition to rank among the top three countries globally in AI development by 2030. Key areas of focus include:
- Establishing a national AI infrastructure in partnership with NVIDIA;
- Developing a national language model named ‘Syaivo’ in collaboration with Kyivstar;
- Expanding the venture capital market through Diia.City Invest;
- Launching defense RoboLabs at universities;
- Integrating AI into the judicial system.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation is set to enhance its AI capabilities by introducing a voice assistant for its hotline, aiming for significant advancements in AI by 2030. The initiative reflects a broader strategy to position Ukraine as a leader in AI development globally.
