Ukrainian military forces have reportedly struck the ‘Strela’ joint-stock company in Russia’s Bryansk region, according to an announcement from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on April 1. The facility is known for producing components for cruise missiles.
The General Staff confirmed that the target was hit, although the extent of the damage to the enemy remains to be clarified. Specific details regarding the timing of the strike were not disclosed.
Earlier, Bryansk Governor Alexander Bogomaz reported an attack by Ukrainian forces using ‘Vampir’ rockets in the Suzemskiy district, which resulted in the death of one civilian and injuries to six others. However, he did not mention any damage to industrial facilities.
Additionally, Ukrainian command has announced strikes on several military targets in Russian-occupied territories. These include drone control points located in the railway and Dolynka areas of the occupied Zaporizhzhia region, as well as a command and observation post near Uspenivka in Dnipropetrovsk.
The General Staff also reported hits on concentrations of enemy personnel near Sosnivka and a logistics depot in the Yakymivka area of Zaporizhzhia. Furthermore, strikes were noted on a concentration of weapons and military equipment in the Novosvitlivka area of occupied Luhansk.
“The focus remains on weakening the rear bases of the Russian army to diminish its offensive capabilities,” the statement from the General Staff indicated.
In response, the Russian military has not reported any damage from these strikes. Previously, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have shot down 42 Ukrainian drones during the night of April 1.
Since the onset of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russian regions and occupied territories have frequently experienced drone attacks and artillery strikes. The Ukrainian side emphasizes its ongoing efforts to disrupt the logistical and operational capabilities of Russian forces.
Ukrainian forces have targeted a military production facility in Bryansk, with additional strikes reported on military sites in occupied territories. The situation reflects ongoing military engagements as Ukraine aims to undermine Russian operational capabilities.
