In a significant escalation of hostilities, Ukrainian forces reported 150 combat engagements with Russian troops over the past day, resulting in the loss of approximately 1,000 Russian soldiers and numerous pieces of military equipment. This information was disclosed in the morning briefing from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on March 27.
According to the General Staff, Russian forces conducted 68 airstrikes, deployed over 9,000 kamikaze drones, and executed nearly 4,000 artillery strikes, including 98 from multiple rocket launch systems.
Airstrikes targeted various locations, including the Sumy region’s Koreniok, as well as Pysantsi and Vasylivka in Dnipropetrovsk, and several sites in Zaporizhzhia such as Verkhnya Tersa, Dolynka, Lyubytske, Novosoloshyne, Veselyanka, Huliaipilske, Zaliznychne, Shevchenkivske, and Preobrazhenka.
Ukrainian air and artillery units successfully struck five areas where Russian personnel and equipment were concentrated, along with one other significant target.
Current Frontline Situation
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, there were 69 shelling incidents, including one involving multiple rocket launch systems.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, two assaults occurred near the settlements of Starytsia and Zybyn.
In the Kupiansk direction, one attack was recorded near Novosynove.
In the Lyman direction, eight attacks were reported, with attempts to breach defenses near the settlements of Nadiya, Tverdokhlibove, Drobysheve, Stavky, and Lyman.
In the Sloviansk direction, four attempts to advance were thwarted in the areas of Platonivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Riznykivka.
No offensive operations were conducted in the Kramatorsk direction.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, 23 attacks were noted near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiyivka, Illinivka, Berestka, Stepanivka, Novopavlivka, and Sofiyivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, 42 assault actions were repelled in the areas of Shakhove, Novopidhorodne, Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udačne, Pokrovsk, and Molodetske towards Hannivka, Novyi Donbas, Kucheryv Yar, and Svitlyi.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, ten attacks were recorded in the areas of Oleksandrhrad, Vyshneve, and Krasnohirske.
In the Huliaipilske direction, 22 attacks occurred in Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Myrne, and Sviatopetrivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, three attacks were reported near Tokmachka, Stepove, and Shcherbaky.
No offensive actions were noted in the Dniprovsk direction.
No signs of offensive group formations were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
During the past day, Ukrainian units also destroyed one tank, nine armored vehicles, 68 artillery systems, two multiple rocket launch systems, 2,222 drones, and over 200 units of enemy vehicles.
