Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on March 1 that Russian forces have launched over 14,670 guided aerial bombs, 738 missiles, and nearly 19,000 strike drones against Ukraine during the past three months of winter. The majority of these drones are believed to be Russian-Iranian Shaheds.
In a message shared via Telegram, Zelensky emphasized that Ukrainians are living under constant threat from various forms of Russian weaponry. He noted that in just the last week, Russia has deployed more than 1,720 strike drones, approximately 1,300 guided aerial bombs, and over a hundred missiles of different types.
Despite these challenges, Zelensky stated that Ukrainians have endured a difficult winter, during which Russia has not attempted to justify its brutal attacks on critical civilian infrastructure. He reiterated the resilience of the Ukrainian people in the face of ongoing aggression.
“Evil must be resisted anywhere in the world. When the United States and its partners show sufficient resolve, even the bloodiest dictators ultimately pay for their crimes. I thank everyone who helps Ukraine defend itself and save lives,” the president wrote.
President Zelensky detailed the extensive military assaults by Russian forces on Ukraine over the winter months, highlighting the resilience of the Ukrainian people. He called for continued international support in the fight against aggression.
