Ukrainian Military Denies Russian Claims of Territorial Gains

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have refuted claims made by the Russian Ministry of Defense regarding the capture of the settlement of Bilyakivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This statement was issued by the Ninth Army Corps of Ukraine on February 28 via their official Facebook page.

In their communication, the Ukrainian military emphasized that their defense units are actively carrying out assigned tasks in the area, asserting that the situation remains under control. They noted, “The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to execute designated missions in this direction. Systematic efforts are being made to inflict losses on the enemy in both personnel and equipment,” highlighting ongoing military operations.

The Ninth Army Corps further indicated that the absence of tangible results on the battlefield has led Russian forces to resort to disseminating misleading information about supposed victories.

The Ukrainian military has publicly countered Russian assertions of territorial advances in Bilyakivka, maintaining that their operations are ongoing and effective. This response underscores the ongoing information warfare accompanying the conflict.
