On February 23, fighting intensified along the front lines, with Ukrainian military reports indicating 100 combat engagements since the start of the day. Russian forces conducted 70 airstrikes, deploying a significant number of guided bombs and drones.
According to the latest update from the General Staff, the Russian military dropped 181 guided bombs and utilized 5,774 kamikaze drones, alongside carrying out 2,336 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian positions.
In the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Russian forces executed one airstrike. The South-Slobozhansky region saw two separate attacks, while Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled two assaults in the Kupiansk area.
Ukrainian troops halted five attacks in the Lyman direction and six in the Sloviansk area, where they thwarted attempts by Russian forces to advance. Currently, there have been no recorded offensive actions in the Kramatorsk direction.
In the Kostyantynivka region, Russian troops launched 14 assaults, while the Pokrovsk direction faced 19 attacks. Ukrainian units successfully defended against ten assaults in the Oleksandrivka area and 14 in the Hulyaipole direction. No offensive actions from Russian forces were reported in the Orikhiv direction, and one attack was repelled in the Dnipro region.
