Weather Forecast: Kyiv to Experience Temperature Drop Next Week

In the coming days, Kyiv is expected to experience dry weather, with significant changes anticipated from May 27, according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

Forecasters indicate that fresh air from the Baltic region will replace the current warm weather, leading to a period of high atmospheric pressure with no precipitation expected over the next four days.

Nighttime temperatures are projected to drop to between +12°C and +14°C, while daytime highs will remain comfortable, ranging from +20°C to +24°C.

However, starting Wednesday, a shift in weather patterns is expected as cold air from the White Sea region moves in. This will bring rainy and windy conditions, with temperatures dropping further. By May 27, the maximum temperature in the capital is forecasted to reach only +19°C.

Temperature Trends in Ukraine

While Western Europe is set to experience unusually high temperatures for May, this heat wave will not affect Ukraine. Meteorologists have clarified that weather conditions in countries like Spain, France, or the United Kingdom will not influence Ukraine’s climate.

Instead, cooler air from Scandinavia is expected to dominate. Over the next few days, temperatures are likely to remain comfortable, ranging from +21°C to +27°C, with occasional short-lived rain showers and thunderstorms.

As the month progresses, a further decrease in temperatures is anticipated, with readings expected to fall below the average climatic norms.
