Ukrainians can expect a warm weekend as temperatures rise significantly across the country. Meteorologist Natalka Didenko shared her forecast on Facebook, indicating that daytime temperatures on June 20-21 will range from +25 to +29 degrees Celsius, with the western and southwestern regions experiencing highs of +27 to +32 degrees.
Didenko noted that while many Western European countries are bracing for extreme heat, Ukraine will not face such severe conditions. She reassured residents that temperatures might reach the low 30s but will not approach the scorching +40 degrees seen elsewhere.
Rain and thunderstorms are predicted on June 20, affecting areas from Vinnytsia through Cherkasy, Poltava, and into Kharkiv. The rest of the nation will remain largely dry. By June 21, clear and sunny weather is expected throughout Ukraine, with evening showers likely in the far west.
Weather in Kyiv
In the capital city, Kyiv, Didenko forecasts pleasant weather for the weekend. The city will enjoy sunny skies and no precipitation, with temperatures climbing to around +26 degrees during the day.
