On May 3, temperatures across Ukraine are projected to rise, with the western regions experiencing the warmest conditions. Many areas will see temperatures reaching between 18°C to 20°C, while significant precipitation is not anticipated, according to forecasts.
The western part of Ukraine will enjoy the highest temperatures, with readings expected to range from 18°C to 20°C. However, in the Khmelnytskyi region, temperatures may be slightly cooler, ranging from 16°C to 18°C.
In northern Ukraine, temperatures are also expected to be warm, reaching between 17°C and 20°C, except for the Sumy region, where temperatures will be more modest, ranging from 15°C to 17°C.
The eastern regions will experience dry weather with variable cloudiness, and temperatures are forecasted to be between 13°C and 15°C, with no significant rainfall expected.
In central Ukraine, temperatures will rise to between 15°C and 17°C, although the Dnipropetrovsk region may see slightly cooler temperatures of 13°C to 15°C.
Meanwhile, in southern Ukraine, winds will strengthen, and temperatures will range from 14°C to 16°C on May 3.
Weather Significance on May 3
May 3 is also noted in the ecclesiastical calendar as the day of remembrance for St. Theodore the Trichite. According to local traditions, thunder on this day is believed to indicate a good harvest in the summer. Additionally, a plentiful number of cones on fir trees is seen as a sign of a bountiful grain harvest.
