From June 4 to June 17, 2026, Goldens Auction House will host its 74th auction, titled “Ukrainian Collectible Art.” This event will feature a diverse selection of artworks spanning more than a century, showcasing the evolution of Ukrainian artistic expression from the late 19th century to contemporary pieces.
The auction collection includes paintings, graphics, sculptures, and decorative art, highlighting both their artistic and collectible values. Many of the featured works have notable exhibition histories, with some representing rare examples from lesser-known periods in the artists’ careers.
Among the artists represented from the Transcarpathian art school are Adalbert Erdeli, Andriy Kotska, and Ferenc Seman, who are known for their unique coloristic traditions. The Lviv art scene is represented by works from Roman and Marhita Selyski, as well as Henrietta Levytska, reflecting modernist explorations and unofficial culture from the latter half of the 20th century.
The collection also features significant pieces from Mykola Hlushchenko, Oleksiy Shovkunenko, Tetyana Yablonska, Viktor Malynka, and Tetyana Holembievska, whose works shaped the intellectual and aesthetic landscape of Ukrainian art during the 1960s to 1980s.
Additionally, the auction includes works from late 19th to early 20th-century artists who represent early modernism in Ukrainian art, along with pieces by creators who influenced the Ukrainian artistic process within the broader context of European art trends. Notable names include Yosyp Krashkovskyi, Oleksandr Haush, David Burliuk, Mane-Katz, and Vasyl Khmeluk.
A significant portion of the auction is dedicated to artists associated with unofficial art, such as Ihor Hryhoriev, Viktor Zaretsky, Henrietta Levytska, Anatoliy Lymaryov, and Marhita Selyska, as well as those from the 1990s, including Serafim Charkin, Petr Lebedynets, Volodymyr Makarenko, Eduard Prykhodko, Lyudmyla Meshkova, Vitaliy Buigashov, Oleg Holosiy, Vladyslava Ralko, and Roman Minin.
Among the top lots are “Near the Church” from the 1930s by Adalbert Erdeli, a 1960s portrait by Marhita Selyska, “Beach. Cozy. Crimea” (1961) by Roman Selyskiy, “Evening in Palanga” (1973-1975) by Ihor Hryhoriev, and several other notable works from various artists spanning different periods.
