The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center (Ukrgidrometcentr) reports that on May 16, the weather will be predominantly dry, with brief showers expected in the western part of the country during the day. Thunderstorms, along with possible hail and wind gusts of 15-20 m/s, are also predicted for this region.
Temperatures throughout Ukraine will range from 6 to 14 degrees Celsius at night and reach between 18 and 23 degrees Celsius during the day. In the eastern regions, temperatures may rise to as high as 26 degrees Celsius on May 18.
In Kyiv, the weekend is expected to remain dry, with nighttime temperatures between 9 and 13 degrees Celsius and daytime highs reaching up to 24 degrees Celsius. Winds will be from the south and northwest at speeds of 5-10 m/s.
On May 18, rain is forecasted to cover the entire country. In the capital, brief showers are expected throughout the day on Monday, with nighttime temperatures between 13 and 15 degrees Celsius and daytime highs again reaching 24 degrees Celsius. Winds will shift to a southeast direction, blowing at 3-8 m/s.
