US President Donald Trump has completed his third scheduled medical examination in just over a year, with results indicating he remains in “excellent health” and is fully capable of fulfilling his duties.
The examination took place at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, according to a memo from the White House reported by Reuters. Dr. Sean Conley, Trump’s physician, stated that while the president is in good health, he is experiencing “mild swelling in his legs” and has “benign” bruises on his arms. Conley described the bruises as consistent with “minor soft tissue irritation related to frequent handshakes, in the context of aspirin use for cardiovascular disease prevention.”
Dr. Conley further asserted that Trump demonstrates strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function. He confirmed that the president is “fully fit for duty” as Commander in Chief and head of state.
Additionally, a comprehensive neurological assessment indicated that Trump’s mental health is normal, including screenings for depression and anxiety.
The physician also provided the president with preventive recommendations regarding diet, low-dose aspirin intake, increased physical activity, and further weight reduction.
Trump’s first scheduled medical examination took place in April 2025, after which his physician noted he was in “excellent health.” A follow-up examination in July of the same year addressed swelling in his legs and bruising, revealing a venous condition common among individuals over 70.
The second scheduled medical examination occurred in the fall of 2025, with Dr. Conley stating that Trump was in “exceptional health.” As Trump approaches his 80th birthday in June 2026, he is set to become the oldest individual to hold the office of President of the United States by the end of his term at age 82.
President Donald Trump has undergone a third medical examination, confirming his overall health status as excellent. The examination addressed mild swelling and bruising, with recommendations for lifestyle adjustments.
