President Donald Trump announced that the United States has postponed a planned military strike on Iran as intensive diplomatic negotiations continue among key Middle Eastern leaders. Trump indicated that an agreement beneficial to the U.S. may be within reach.
According to Trump, leaders including Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, and UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan urged the U.S. to delay the strike while discussions regarding an accord aimed at preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons are underway.
Trump emphasized that the decision to postpone the military action was made in respect of allied positions and with the expectation of a diplomatic outcome. However, he reaffirmed that U.S. armed forces remain on high alert and can resume operational planning at any moment should the negotiations fail to yield a satisfactory agreement.

Ultimately, Trump rejected Iran’s response to the U.S. proposal.
