Ukrainian Forces Target Russian Air Defense Systems in Recent Drone Strikes

On March 22, Ukrainian drone units successfully destroyed a Buk-M3 missile system and a Buk-M2 launch and charging installation in Russia’s Bryansk region. This operation was confirmed by Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, the commander of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces.

Brovdi reported that the strikes were executed by pilots from the 413th Special Operations Brigade, known as “Raid.” In addition to the missile systems, Ukrainian forces also targeted and destroyed a Triumph radar system, part of the S-400 air defense complex, located in Donetsk.

According to Brovdi, the Ukrainian military has eliminated a total of 26 elements of Russian air defense systems over the course of March. He shared video evidence showcasing the destruction of the Buk-M3, Buk-M2, and the Triumph radar.

In broader terms, the Special Operations Forces have reportedly neutralized or engaged 7,073 enemy personnel and 25,612 unique enemy targets since the onset of the conflict. On the previous day alone, Ukrainian defense forces claimed to have killed and wounded 940 Russian soldiers, bringing the total estimated Russian casualties in the ongoing war to approximately 1,287,880.

Ukrainian drone units have targeted and destroyed significant Russian air defense systems, including the Buk-M3 and Buk-M2, as well as a Triumph radar. This marks a continued effort by Ukrainian forces to diminish Russian military capabilities in the region.
