Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has officially dismissed rumors regarding the potential dismissal of Education and Science Minister Oksen Lisovyi. This statement was made during the “New Ukraine Education 2.0” conference held in Kyiv, as reported by Interfax.
“You can be assured,” Svyrydenko stated, addressing concerns about Lisovyi’s position.
Lisovyi himself emphasized that he had not submitted a resignation request and had not seen any formal proposal from the Prime Minister regarding his removal. He explained, “There can be a procedure: either my resignation or a proposal from the Prime Minister, or an initiative from members of parliament. I have not submitted any resignation, nor is there a proposal from the Prime Minister. The only initiative I am aware of is a resolution submitted by MP Anton Yatsenko. We will see if it gains support among the deputies.”
Additionally, Lisovyi mentioned that if he were to be dismissed, he would consider returning to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On June 3, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak had indicated the possibility of discussing Lisovyi’s removal from his ministerial role. However, on June 4, Lisovyi reiterated that he was unaware of any resolution concerning his resignation and had not engaged in any discussions regarding his position.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has confirmed that Education Minister Oksen Lisovyi will not be dismissed, countering recent speculation. Lisovyi himself stated he has not filed for resignation and is unaware of any formal proposals for his removal.
