The second semi-final of the 70th Eurovision Song Contest is set to take place on May 14, featuring Ukraine’s representative, Leléka, performing her song “Ridnym.” The event will be broadcast across various platforms, allowing fans to tune in and support their favorites.
The pre-show will air on the Suspilne Kultura channel and the Suspilne Eurovision website starting at 21:30 local time. Timur Miroshnychenko will host the pre-show, with Svітlana Tarabarova serving as co-commentator. Their commentary will also be available on the Eurovision Ukraine YouTube channel, though it will not include live performances.
The semi-final itself will begin at 22:00, with Leléka performing as the 12th act. Viewers in Ukraine will have the opportunity to vote for their preferred entries, although they are not permitted to vote for their own representative.

Voting will commence after the final song is performed, with participants allowed to cast up to ten votes within an 18-minute window. Notably, even countries not participating in Eurovision can vote in the “Rest of the World” category.

Leléka’s performance has been crafted under the direction of Illya Dutsyk, with costumes designed by Ukrainian designer Liliya Litkovska and stylist Margarita Shekel. The team drew inspiration from the poetry of Lesya Ukrainka, aiming to reflect her visual imagery. Jewelry designer Kate Brilliant has created accessories that resemble drops of water to enhance Leléka’s appearance.
Additionally, bandurist Yaroslav Dzius will accompany Leléka on stage, dressed in a costume inspired by Cossack traditions, symbolizing the role of musicians as guardians of cultural memory. The performance will feature a traditional Kharkiv bandura, chosen for its ability to convey the essence of kobzar culture while accommodating modern musical compositions.
