Ukraine’s Energy Company Advises on Electricity Usage Amid Ongoing Crisis

Ukrainian energy provider NЕК “Укренерго” announced that there will be no scheduled power outages for residential consumers or power restrictions for industrial users on Thursday, May 7.

In a statement shared via Telegram, the company urged citizens to shift energy-intensive activities to daytime hours, specifically from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Residents are advised to limit the use of high-power appliances during the evening peak hours of 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

This guidance comes as Ukraine continues to navigate an energy crisis exacerbated by ongoing Russian attacks on its infrastructure. Since January 14, a state of emergency in the energy sector has been in effect, following directives from President Volodymyr Zelensky.

NЕК "Укренерго" has communicated that there will be no power outages for consumers on May 7, while advising on optimal electricity usage times. The ongoing energy crisis in Ukraine remains a significant concern due to external threats.
