On April 21, Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy and the national grid operator, Ukrenergo, announced that there are no expected electricity restrictions for the day. However, they urged consumers to conserve energy during peak evening hours.
The Ministry advised residents to limit their electricity use from 5 PM to 10 PM, stating that such measures help alleviate stress on the energy system.
According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption levels are consistent with seasonal averages. Despite this, certain regions continue to experience outages due to recent Russian attacks.
Impact of Attacks
As of this morning, power outages were reported in several regions, including Chernihiv, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Zaporizhia. Emergency restoration efforts have commenced in areas where security conditions permit.
Weather-Related Outages
Additionally, adverse weather conditions have led to complete or partial power outages in seven settlements within the Dnipropetrovsk region. Repair crews are actively working to restore damaged power lines.
Ukraine's Ministry of Energy has confirmed that no electricity restrictions are anticipated today, but urges consumers to conserve energy during peak hours. Outages persist in several regions due to both military actions and adverse weather conditions.
