Ukraine Intercepts Majority of Russian Attacks Amid Ongoing Assaults

On May 3, Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted a significant portion of a coordinated Russian attack, which included ballistic missiles and drones. The assault involved two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, five Kh-59/69 guided missiles, and 234 Shahed-type drones.

According to the Ukrainian Air Forces, their defense systems managed to shoot down 175 drones and five guided missiles. The intercepted drones included various models such as Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and imitation drones, which were targeted across northern, southern, and central regions of Ukraine.

The defense operations were supported by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare divisions, and mobile fire groups from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Air Forces noted that the drone attacks were ongoing throughout the day.

In a related incident, Russian forces launched over 30 attacks on five districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region using missiles, drones, and artillery. This wave of assaults resulted in one death and 25 injuries, including four children.

Ukrainian air defense forces reported significant success in intercepting a Russian assault on May 3, managing to down a majority of incoming missiles and drones. Despite these efforts, the attacks in the Dnipropetrovsk region resulted in casualties, highlighting the ongoing conflict's toll on civilians.
