President Donald Trump stated that the United States will obtain Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium, emphasizing that this could occur through less amicable means if negotiations fail.
In response to inquiries about the timeline for extracting what he referred to as “nuclear dust” from Iran, Trump refrained from providing specific dates. He mentioned, “I’m not going to give you a timeline, except to say that if we sign a deal, I can give you a timeline: somewhere after signing the agreement, we will go to Iran, and we will take it back, and we will return 100% of it to the United States.”
Trump assured that the U.S. will secure Iran’s uranium supplies, stating, “If we don’t do it, we will get it in another form, in a much more hostile form. But in any case, we will do it.” He also indicated that he may not extend a temporary truce between the U.S. and Iran if a deal is not reached by Wednesday regarding a final cessation of hostilities.
Earlier on Friday, Trump expressed confidence that the parties are close to reaching an agreement.
President Trump has emphasized the U.S. commitment to securing Iran's enriched uranium, warning of potential conflict if negotiations falter. He also hinted at possible changes to a temporary truce with Iran, depending on the outcome of ongoing discussions.
