Trump Critiques Iran’s Proposal for Conflict Resolution

U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed skepticism regarding a recent proposal from Iran aimed at resolving ongoing tensions between the two nations. In a post on Truth Social, Trump indicated that he finds it unlikely that the terms presented by Tehran would be acceptable.

Trump stated, “I will soon consider the plan that Iran just sent us, but I cannot imagine it will be acceptable, as they have not paid a sufficiently high price for what they have done to humanity and peace over the last 47 years.” His comments come in the wake of Iran’s submission of a new proposal to the United States, which may serve as a basis for renewed negotiations.

On May 1, the White House informed Congress in a letter that military operations against Iran had “concluded,” despite the continued presence of U.S. forces in the region. This announcement followed Iran’s communication of updated proposals concerning a potential agreement to end hostilities, which were relayed to the U.S. through intermediaries from Pakistan on April 30.

While Trump has voiced dissatisfaction with Iran’s peace proposals, his representatives are reportedly continuing discussions aimed at reaching a resolution via phone negotiations.

President Trump has expressed doubts about the acceptability of Iran's recent proposal for conflict resolution, citing a lack of accountability for past actions. This statement follows Iran's attempt to initiate renewed negotiations with the U.S.
