Serhiy Rebrov has concluded his tenure as the head coach of the Ukraine national football team, as announced by the official website of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF).
Rebrov will continue to serve within the UAF as a vice president and a member of the Executive Committee.
The UAF is expected to announce Rebrov’s successor in due course.
“I am grateful to the entire team and the fans for the journey we have undertaken. It has been a challenging path with both victories and defeats, but the Ukrainian supporters have always been there for the team,” Rebrov reflected on his three-year period in charge of the national side.
He added, “These moments of unity are ones I will never forget, and I will always be thankful. I also extend my gratitude to the UAF for their constant support and collaboration.”
Since his appointment in June 2023, Rebrov has led the Ukraine team in 34 matches. Under his leadership, the team qualified for Euro 2024 through the playoff rounds.
However, the team was unable to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, exiting in the playoff semifinals after a 1-3 defeat to Sweden.
During his time as head coach, Ukraine recorded 16 wins, eight draws, and ten losses.
The national team is scheduled to play its next official matches in September 2026, when they will begin their campaign in League B of the Nations League. Their group opponents will include Hungary, Georgia, and Northern Ireland.
Serhiy Rebrov has stepped down as the head coach of the Ukraine national football team after a three-year tenure. He will remain with the Ukrainian Football Association in a leadership role, while the search for his successor is underway.
