Russian Drone Strike in Kharkiv Region Claims Life of 74-Year-Old Woman

A drone strike by Russian forces on April 13 targeted the village of Velykyi Burluk in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv Oblast, resulting in the death of a 74-year-old woman and injuries to three others.

The attack occurred around 1:30 PM, with reports indicating that the drone used was likely of the “Geran-2” type. The strike not only led to fatalities but also caused damage to residential buildings and a vehicle in the area.

Among the injured was a 69-year-old woman, while two residents experienced acute stress reactions following the incident. Local authorities have initiated a pre-trial investigation into the incident, classifying it as a war crime under Article 438 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code.

This incident follows a similar attack earlier in the week, where Russian drones struck residential areas in Bohodukhiv, resulting in injuries to a man and a seven-year-old boy.

A recent drone strike in Kharkiv Oblast has led to the death of a local woman and injuries to others, prompting an investigation into the incident as a war crime. This attack is part of ongoing hostilities affecting civilian areas in Ukraine.
