Russia Launches Major Drone and Missile Attack on Ukraine

In the early hours of February 14, Russia executed a significant assault on Ukraine, deploying an Iskander-M ballistic missile along with 112 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas models. This information was confirmed by the Ukrainian Air Force.

The attack commenced around 6:30 PM on February 13, originating from various locations including the Kursk region and other areas in Russia. The Ukrainian military reported that approximately 70 of the drones were of the Shahed type.

As of 8:30 AM, Ukrainian defense forces successfully intercepted or neutralized 91 Russian drones, employing a combination of aviation, anti-aircraft missile systems, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups.

The assault resulted in 18 drones striking eleven locations, with debris falling at two additional sites.

“The enemy’s drone attack is ongoing, and the defense forces continue to repel the aerial strike. Please adhere to safety protocols,” the Air Force stated.

A coordinated Russian attack involving a ballistic missile and numerous drones targeted Ukraine on February 14, leading to significant interception efforts by Ukrainian forces. The ongoing assault underscores the persistent threat posed by aerial strikes in the region.
