On the evening of April 21, users of Kyivstar, a major mobile operator in Ukraine, reported significant disruptions in service. Customers experienced issues with voice calls, mobile internet access, and weak signal strength.
According to data from Downdetector, a service that tracks outages, the most common complaints included an inability to make voice calls, which accounted for 68% of reports. Additionally, 13% of users experienced internet outages, while 18% noted weak signal issues.
In response to the disruptions, Kyivstar confirmed to Ukrainian media that a minor technical glitch had affected a portion of its subscribers, leading to difficulties with outgoing calls. The company stated that service has since been restored and operations have returned to normal.
Kyivstar has apologized for the temporary inconvenience caused to its users and reassured them that the situation is resolved.
