Kiev Authorities Implement Road Closures Following Russian Attack

In the wake of a significant Russian assault on the Ukrainian capital, law enforcement officials have instituted road closures in several districts of Kiev. The attack occurred overnight on June 15, resulting in casualties and widespread damage.

According to Oleksiy Biloshytskyi, the first deputy head of the Patrol Police Department, traffic has been restricted in the Solomianskyi, Obolonskyi, Pecherskyi, and Desnianskyi districts. Specific areas affected include:

  • Bratів Zерових Street (from the intersection with Preobrazhenska Street to the intersection with Maksym Kryvonis Lane);
  • Berezhanska Street (from the intersection with Luhova Street to the intersection with Polyarnaya Street);
  • The roundabout from Miska Street towards Soshenska Street, leading to Pushcha-Vodytska Street and Vyshhorodska Street;
  • The intersection of Tsytadelnaya and Ivan Mazepa Streets;
  • Vasyl Ivanis Street (from the intersection with Kubanska Ukraina Street to the intersection with Milyutenka Street).

The overnight attack by Russian forces resulted in the deaths of four individuals and left 25 others injured. Emergency services are currently responding to incidents across nearly 50 locations throughout the city, as reported by the State Emergency Service.

Kiev has seen road closures implemented in response to a recent Russian attack that resulted in multiple casualties and extensive damage. Emergency services are actively addressing the aftermath across various districts.
