The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported a significant rise in drone activity near Ukrainian nuclear power stations on May 13 and 14. This surge involved over 160 drone flights in the vicinity of the South Ukraine, Rivne, and Chernobyl nuclear plants.
According to the IAEA, while there has been no direct impact on nuclear safety at these facilities, the agency expressed serious concerns regarding the heightened military presence in the area. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi emphasized that such military operations near nuclear sites are unacceptable and reiterated the need for all parties to exercise maximum restraint.
