Explosion in Chernihiv Supermarket Amid Russian Air Attack

An explosion occurred in an ATB supermarket in Chernihiv on March 22, coinciding with a Russian aerial assault on the city, as confirmed by the National Police of Ukraine.

The incident took place during the day, with Dmitro Bryzhynskyi, the head of the city’s military administration, reporting that an unidentified object detonated within the store.

Three individuals were injured in the explosion, including a man and two women. The women sustained shrapnel wounds to their lower limbs and were admitted to the trauma department in moderate condition. The man received outpatient treatment and is reported to be in stable condition, with a follow-up examination scheduled for the next day.

Authorities, including investigative teams, patrol police, bomb disposal experts, and forensic specialists, were deployed to the scene to assess the situation and gather evidence.

The explosion in Chernihiv highlights the ongoing risks faced by civilians amid military actions in Ukraine. The incident resulted in injuries, prompting a swift response from local authorities.
