Evacuations Continue in Družkivka Amid Ongoing Conflict in Donetsk Region

According to the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, daily evacuations from Družkivka are averaging between 200 and 300 individuals. However, approximately 9,500 civilians remain in the Družkivka community.

Dmytro Petlin, head of the operational duty service and public information department at the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, provided these figures, as reported by Ukrinform. He stated, “Currently, around 9,500 people are still in the Družkivka community, with slightly fewer in the city itself. Evacuations are ongoing, with the highest numbers coming from Družkivka, where 200 to 300 people are departing each day.”

On March 6, President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the Donetsk region, where he indicated that Russian forces are preparing for a spring offensive in the area. During his visit, he shared a video recorded in Družkivka near a monument dedicated to lovers.

On March 4, emergency rescue operations concluded following a Russian airstrike on Družkivka on March 2. Rescue services reported that the attack resulted in three fatalities and 16 injuries.

Evacuations from Družkivka are ongoing, with significant numbers leaving daily. The region remains under threat as military activities increase, prompting concerns for the civilian population.
