Drone Strikes in Kherson Region Leave Three Injured

Three individuals sustained injuries following drone strikes attributed to Russian forces in the Kherson region on the morning of May 7. The attacks, which targeted the areas of Komyshany, Kherson, and Zelenivka, prompted the temporary suspension of bus services in the vicinity due to safety concerns.

According to the Kherson Military Administration, the first attack occurred around 9:00 AM in Komyshany, injuring a 59-year-old local resident. He suffered a concussion, explosive and closed head injuries, as well as shrapnel wounds to his chest. The man was subsequently transported to a hospital in moderate condition.

In a separate incident, a 73-year-old man in Kherson was injured near a city cemetery, sustaining mine-blast injuries. He is currently undergoing further medical evaluation.

A third victim, also 59 years old, was injured in Zelenivka, experiencing an explosive injury and acute stress reaction from the drone attack.

Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson Military Administration, reported that due to the heightened threat from drone activity in the Komyshany area, operations on the third bus route have been temporarily halted. He noted that one bus had already been damaged by shrapnel, although no passengers were harmed.

Shanko urged residents to understand the necessity of these temporary restrictions for their safety.

Drone strikes in the Kherson region have resulted in three injuries and the temporary suspension of local bus services. Officials emphasize safety amid ongoing threats from drone activity.
