Trump Signals Readiness for Military Action Against Iran Over Nuclear Threats

U.S. President Donald Trump has indicated a willingness to resume military action against Iran if necessary to prevent the country from developing nuclear weapons. During a recent press interaction, Trump was asked whether he would consider striking Iran again, despite concerns that such actions could trigger a global economic crisis.

In his response, Trump emphasized the gravity of the nuclear threat, stating, “Nuclear weapons are more important than an economic crisis. An economic crisis is indeed bad, but nuclear weapons would lead to catastrophe much sooner. What we are doing will lead to results opposite to a crisis.”

Trump further asserted that if Iran fails to adhere to agreements and behaves improperly, he would take the necessary actions. He also mentioned that the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports has proven to be more effective than bombing campaigns. According to Trump, the U.S. could quickly reinstate such a blockade if required.

“If you want to know, I believe the blockade was more effective than bombing, and we could set it up again, I would say, in 15 minutes,” he remarked. Following this statement, Trump directed a question to Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, inquiring about the feasibility of quickly reinstating the blockade. Esper confirmed, saying, “The troops are ready to act right now if ordered.”

President Trump has expressed a readiness to take military action against Iran to prevent nuclear weapon development, highlighting the effectiveness of U.S. sanctions over military strikes. His comments reflect ongoing tensions and the administration's stance on Iran's compliance with nuclear agreements.
