New information has emerged regarding Boris Yermak, the father of former Ukrainian presidential office head Andriy Yermak, who visited Russia in November 2019. This trip occurred shortly after his son took a prominent position within President Volodymyr Zelensky’s administration.
According to an investigation by the journalistic group “Schemes,” flight data indicates that Boris Yermak traveled to Russia via Belarus. On November 2, 2019, he flew from Minsk to Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg, returning to Ukraine on November 6.
Reports also indicate that Boris Yermak was accompanied by his wife, who was born in St. Petersburg, during this trip.
In a related development, on May 11, Andriy Yermak was implicated in a money laundering scheme connected to the construction of an upscale residential area in Kozyn, near Kyiv. Law enforcement agencies allege that approximately 460 million hryvnias were laundered through this operation.
The investigation has also identified businessman Timur Mindich, who has fled abroad, and former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov as key figures in the case.
The investigation into Boris Yermak's 2019 trip to Russia raises questions about potential connections to ongoing legal issues involving his son, Andriy Yermak. The latter faces allegations related to a significant money laundering scheme linked to luxury real estate development in Ukraine.
