The finalists for the ‘Car of the Year 2026’ competition in Ukraine have been revealed. From this shortlist, the ultimate winner will be selected in the main category of the event.
According to the event’s procedure, an expert jury will soon conduct test drives of the nominated vehicles and cast their votes for both the main and additional categories.
The winner will be determined based on the combined scores from the expert and public juries.
The contenders for the ‘Car of the Year 2026’ title include:

- BMW iX
- Chery Tiggo 4 Hybrid
- Cupra Formentor
- Mercedes-Benz G 580 EQ
- Peugeot 3008
- Renault Duster
- Skoda Enyaq
- Subaru Forester
- Volvo XC90
Previously, the ‘Car of the Year 2025’ was awarded to the Škoda Kodiaq, with winners in various categories announced during the ceremony.
The ‘Car of the Year in Ukraine’ event has been held since 2001. The selection process takes into account the opinions of an expert jury, composed of automotive journalists from Ukraine, as well as votes from the public through online polling.
Typically, the competition features new car models that have been officially introduced and made available for sale in Ukraine by January 1 of the current year.
