Ukrainian postal service Ukrposhta has swiftly resumed operations following an attack that impacted its facilities in Kharkiv. According to the company’s CEO, Ihor Smilianskyi, logistics processes were reorganized to establish temporary delivery routes.
By midday, deliveries had stabilized, with the first packages arriving at Kharkiv branches even as emergency responders continued their work at the damaged site. Smilianskyi confirmed that while local deliveries would operate on schedule, some shipments from remote areas might experience delays of up to one day.
“Yes, packages coming from afar may take an additional day to reach Kharkiv, but everything from within the city should proceed as normal,” he stated. The company is also assessing the damage caused by the attack and plans to identify any lost or damaged shipments by the end of Wednesday, with compensation to be provided to affected customers.
Smilianskyi expressed optimism, stating, “We will have good news in the coming days, and we will focus on positive developments.”
Ukrposhta has effectively restored its delivery services in Kharkiv after a recent attack, implementing temporary routes and ensuring local operations remain unaffected. The company is currently evaluating the impact of the incident and plans to compensate customers for any losses.
