In April 2026, Ukraine’s air defense forces successfully intercepted over 57,000 aerial targets, including ballistic missiles and strike drones.
The air defense units engaged a variety of threats, ranging from cruise missiles to small reconnaissance drones.
Among the destroyed targets were:
- 69 X-101 cruise missiles;
- 8 Kalibr cruise missiles;
- 5 Iskander-K cruise missiles;
- 4 guided aviation missiles of types X-59/69;
- 7 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles;
- 4,861 Shahed-type strike drones;
- 1,065 reconnaissance drones;
- 51,110 drones of other types.
Throughout April, the Air Force conducted 831 sorties, including:
- over 550 for air cover;
- approximately 200 for fire support and ground troop assistance.
