Turkey Offers to Host Next Round of Peace Talks Between Ukraine, US, and Russia

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced his country’s readiness to facilitate the next round of peace negotiations involving Ukraine, the United States, and Russia. This statement came during a visit by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Turkey on April 4.

During their meeting, Zelensky briefed Erdoğan on his discussions with the American delegation. Erdoğan expressed Turkey’s commitment to playing a significant role in achieving lasting peace for Ukraine, reaffirming his country’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“Turkey is prepared to host the next round of negotiations between Ukraine, the US, and Russia,” Erdoğan stated.

This announcement follows a pause in peace talks that had been ongoing since early 2026. Previously, three rounds of discussions took place among the three nations. A planned meeting in March was canceled due to the onset of military operations involving the US and Israel against Iran.

Turkey has expressed its willingness to host upcoming peace talks involving Ukraine, the US, and Russia, as President Zelensky visits Ankara. This follows a series of discussions that were interrupted earlier this year.
