In the early hours of April 18, Russian forces launched a targeted attack on the port infrastructure in the Odesa region of Ukraine.
The assault resulted in injuries to a truck driver, who received medical assistance on-site. Damage was reported to warehouses, cargo vehicles, and a building, with several buses catching fire.
Additionally, silos containing corn were damaged, leading to a fire at the port operator’s site. Emergency services are currently on the scene to manage the aftermath.
“Russia systematically attacks ports, export infrastructure, and civilian logistics, attempting to disrupt the operations of Ukraine’s maritime corridor and impact the economy and global food security,” stated Kuleba.
