In the early hours of April 30, Russian forces launched two waves of missile strikes on Odesa, resulting in extensive destruction, particularly in the Primorsky district. Residential buildings were engulfed in flames, and a kindergarten suffered severe damage, leaving 16 individuals injured, with two in critical condition.
Severe Damage in Primorsky District
The attacks targeted residential areas and civilian infrastructure across various parts of the city, with the Primorsky district experiencing the worst impact. A high-rise building and a five-story residential structure were heavily damaged, leading to large-scale fires on the upper floors and rooftops, which firefighters managed to contain.
Additionally, private homes in the city center were also affected.

Impact on Local Facilities
The kindergarten building sustained significant destruction, along with a shopping center, a hotel, and several administrative offices. Numerous vehicles, including buses and cars, were either destroyed or damaged across multiple parking lots.
In the Khadyzibey district, the strikes impacted infrastructure, warehouse buildings, and a garage cooperative.

Injuries and Emergency Response
Among the 16 injured were a 17-year-old boy. Two individuals remain in critical condition in intensive care, while one man was hospitalized in the trauma department. The remaining victims received assistance on-site or were referred for outpatient care.
Over 280 specialists and 68 units of equipment have been deployed for emergency response efforts. Operational headquarters have been established to assist residents of the affected buildings.
Odesa, located in southern Ukraine, has been subjected to near-daily Russian attacks. Just days earlier, on April 27, the city faced a large-scale drone assault, damaging residential buildings and injuring several, including children. One district was particularly hard-hit.
On April 26, Russian forces attempted to strike the region again, damaging port and logistics infrastructure, storage tanks, administrative buildings, and cargo transport. A civilian vessel flying the flag of Palau was also affected while docked during loading operations.
