Russian Forces Launch Drone Strikes on Kharkiv, Leaving Casualties and Damage

Overnight on April 16, Russian military forces targeted Kharkiv with drone strikes, resulting in fires and injuries.

According to regional officials, the attacks occurred in the Industrial District, where a drone reportedly struck an area near a residential building, igniting civilian vehicles. Oleh Synehubov, the head of the regional military administration, confirmed the incident.

In the Nemishliansky District, two individuals—a 66-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman—were injured due to the drone attack. Emergency services are currently on-site providing necessary medical assistance.

City Mayor Igor Terekhov reported that the drone’s impact damaged several private homes and disrupted a gas pipeline in the same district.

This latest assault follows a recent attack where Russian forces launched six aerial bombs on the Pechenihy Reservoir in the Chuhuiv District. Additionally, a combined attack on Kharkiv utilized both Shahed and Molniya drones.

In a separate incident, one drone hit a high-rise building in Kharkiv, injuring a woman and damaging an apartment.

Russian drone strikes on Kharkiv resulted in injuries and property damage, particularly in the Industrial and Nemishliansky Districts. Emergency services are responding to the aftermath of these attacks.
