Overnight on April 16, Russian military forces targeted Kharkiv with drone strikes, resulting in fires and injuries.
According to regional officials, the attacks occurred in the Industrial District, where a drone reportedly struck an area near a residential building, igniting civilian vehicles. Oleh Synehubov, the head of the regional military administration, confirmed the incident.
In the Nemishliansky District, two individuals—a 66-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman—were injured due to the drone attack. Emergency services are currently on-site providing necessary medical assistance.
City Mayor Igor Terekhov reported that the drone’s impact damaged several private homes and disrupted a gas pipeline in the same district.
This latest assault follows a recent attack where Russian forces launched six aerial bombs on the Pechenihy Reservoir in the Chuhuiv District. Additionally, a combined attack on Kharkiv utilized both Shahed and Molniya drones.
In a separate incident, one drone hit a high-rise building in Kharkiv, injuring a woman and damaging an apartment.
